Campus Stories

One Church, Multiple Communities

Across Central Ohio, every Vineyard Columbus campus shares the same heartbeat - to experience God, love one another, and partner with Christ to heal the world.

These stories show what that mission looks like up close: neighbors praying, families serving, and communities finding life in Jesus - together.

Making Room in New Albany

New Albany

In April, Vineyard Columbus launched its newest campus in New Albany. More than 400 people gathered on opening day, filling the space as 20 made first-time commitments to Jesus and over 50 committed to returning.

That same Easter, a mother brought her husband and teenage son. Both gave their lives to Jesus that morning, and she wept with gratitude for God’s goodness over her and her family.

A few months later, flooding forced the campus out of its meeting space one Sunday morning — but the team pivoted quickly.

With the help of over 100 volunteers, they held an outdoor service with a full congregation, celebrating God’s faithfulness together on a summer morning in the open air.

From the start, this community has reflected the spirit of Vineyard Columbus — a faith that flexes, a hope that endures, and a growing desire to make room for anyone hungry for Jesus.

Local Generosity, Global Reach

Pickerington

At the annual Back-to-School Bash, the campus provided over 200 students with backpacks, supplies, haircuts, and health screenings.

One mother undergoing chemotherapy received backpacks delivered directly to her home.

Leftover supplies were sent to Kaduna, Nigeria, blessing children in underserved schools.

In just three years, Pickerington has donated 400 backpacks and 4,000 school supplies — all through the generosity of the church family.

One Family On Mission

Viña Columbus

This year, Viña united two congregations into one family — 336 visitors welcomed, 26 baptisms, 86 first-time commitments, and 57 recommitments to Christ.

José Manuel came to Viña burdened with years of pain toward his father.

“During my baptism, I heard a voice say, Raise up. I let go of my pain and forgave my father. I was set free.”

Backpacks and Blessings

Grandview

When a newly baptized high-schooler joined the Mobile Food Pantry to serve the same day, she prayed with guests and shared,

“God was really with us. I know he wanted us there for a reason.”

This year, Grandview also hosted its first Back-to-School Drive, donating 121 backpacks and thousands of supplies to local children.

Seeking God First

Sawmill

“I got baptized because God has completely changed and saved my life. He knew how deeply broken I was before I knew him, yet he still welcomed me into his arms.” -Jack

Stories like Jack’s are becoming more common at Sawmill, where people are discovering grace, freedom, and the beauty of belonging to God’s family.
