Community Gardens
In March 2024, the creation care ministry of Vineyard Columbus embarked on an exciting new venture by launching a second community garden off Melrose Ave. The transformation of the plot into a thriving garden was no small feat, involving significant preparation and construction. A dedicated team of volunteers came together, pouring their hearts and hands into building raised beds, clearing overgrown brush, hauling away waste, constructing a shed for supplies, and tending to the garden with unwavering commitment. Their hard work paid off spectacularly. In its first year, the garden flourished, yielding over 600 lbs. of fresh, organic produce that nourished our Northside pantry and neighbors in Northwold. This vibrant community effort not only brought fresh food to the table but also fostered a sense of unity and purpose.
